Weymouth Harbour is located in the small seaside town of Weymouth, in the county of Dorset. It has a tourism-based economy, so it is important that the harbour and all the attractions to be visited by as many tourists as possible.
The Weymouth Harbour pontoons are 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre, historic outer harbour and Weymouth’s Blue Flag beach.
The Weymouth Harbour has over 400 berths including some Jet-Ski Versadock berths (you can also supply your own docks) provide berthing for vessels up to 20m LOA.
Most of our visitor berths are alongside floating pontoons with gangway access ashore. If you arrive during silent hours, please proceed to a suitable berth as shown on the chart below, or raft out on a vessel of a similar length and type:
- - Vessels up to 10 metres, please berth on the south side of the harbour (the Cove) and adhere to mooring signage
- - Vessels over 10 metres, please berth on the north side, either opposite Lifeboat Station or outside Harbour Office
- - For larger craft (over 18m), advanced notice of your arrival will give us an opportunity to try and make a suitable space
Our shower facilities are open 24 hours via a pin code lock. This code can be obtained from the Berthing Office upon arrival.
All vessels should hold appropriate third party insurance cover whilst visiting the Port of Weymouth and a minimum cover value of £2,000,000 is requested.
It is situated on the South Western coast of England, location that gives it a temperate climate. Weymouth has a wide sandy beach, perfect for sun bathing in the summer, as well as for beach sport events that take place throughout the year, for example: handball, volleyball, the spectacular motocross and the international kite festival.
The colourful houses, the quirky boats that gently move on the water and the scent of the salty air, all come together and paint a pretty picture of an amazing vacation at the seaside. The accommodation units are lovely, with a touch of older times, yet modern and classy. The most popular ones are: Premier Inn, Moonfleet Manor, Hotel Rex, Hotel Rembrandt, Crown Hotel, Hotel Prince Regent and Windsor Hotel.
