The county Essex is located in the south-eastern part of England. The capital London is situated south-west of the country. Essex borders with the neighbouring counties of Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Kent.
The longest seacoast of any English county is the coastline of Essex. It is a diverse area, offering a variety of attractions, from historic maritime towns to old landmarks and astonishing natural habitats and landforms. Essex has something for everyone. Travellers come to visit the area for different purposes. Sailors adore cruising along the waters of the county.
