North Down is a Northern Ireland district, located on the Eastern coast and a part of County Down. The most important town is Bangor, only 20 km away from Belfast. This district in considered to be the wealthiest in all Northern Ireland. Irish people are well known for being witty, friendly and very fun to have around.

North Down Museum will reveal the area’s story way back from the Bronze Age to our days. Bangor Abbey has a struggling past, as it was destroyed and rebuilt several times. The impressive Bangor Castles dates from 1852, and Grey Point Fort is one of the best-preserved forts of the British Isles. Bangor Castle Walled Garden is an award winning destination and Tower House holds a maritime heritage. Ulster Folk & Transportation Museum is a 100 year journey in the past, and the Cockle Row Cottages are perfect for a sunny afternoon.
