Brunsbuttel

Brunsbuttel is a marina in the city with the same name, found in Schleswig Holstein Region. Located on the left shore of Braake River, the port is close to the mouth of the Elbe River and to the western entrance of Kiel Canal, the busiest artificial waterway in the world. Brunsbuttel attracts tourists with its location by the waterways and also for those interested in having a close by the view of Kiel Canal locks, an engineering wonder. There is also a museum dedicated to the Canal where visitors can learn more about its history. Other attractions of the town are James Church built in the 17th century, Matthias Boie Haus, one of the Region’s most beautiful half-timbered houses or the century-old water tower considered a cultural monument.
