Hohwachter Yachtclub e.V.

Hohwachter Yachtclub e.V. is a marina in the village and municipality of Hohwacht, Schleswig Holstein Region. Located between Grosser Binnensee Lake and the North Sea, the port is one of Germany’s most natural marinas along the coast. Tourists who decide to moor here will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy their favourite water sports or relax on fishing trips out on the North Sea or even travel to the Danish coast located 50 kilometres north. Hohwacht is one of Germany’s Baltic resorts and its main attractions for visitors are the sand dunes around the village and the old beach huts, the best preserved in the country where tourists can take shelter from the sun or wind. Visitors interested in the region past can sail 40 kilometres west on the coast to Laboe, located in Kiel Fjord where they can visit the last surviving U-boat type submarine from World War II and the Naval Memorial located here, dedicated to sailors who died during the World Wars.
