Koge Yacht Haven

Koge Yacht Haven is situated in the city and municipality of Køge, 45 kilometres south of Copenhagen and is an ideal port for medium size boats. Visitors who moor here can have an early wake up and go to the working harbour 2 kilometres south of the marina and watch fishermen unload herring and eels. The beaches around Koge area are a popular destination for those taking a break from the capital and are on the look for a relaxing destination in the premises of Copenhagen. For tourists in search of enlightenment, the city offers a great variety of cultural landmarks such as The Fountain in the Market Square, King Frederick VII statue, Pontus Kjerman, The Kollund Bird and The Guard, spread around the city or they can go straight to Borup Sculpture Park, where works of art can be seen in a more intimate space. Koge Local Archives is a good place for old information about the area while Koge Maritime Activity Centre, Koge Museum or Olsemagle Mill exhibits that information.
