Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes

Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes is located on the island of Grand Terre in the French overseas region of Guadeloupe. Pointe-à-Pitre, the largest city of Guadeloupe, is immediately to the north of the marina. This city is nicknamed “The New Orleans of the Caribbean” for its wonderful mix of sounds, flavors and architectural styles. Located in the Lesser Antilles between Dominica and Antigua, the stunning Guadeloupe archipelago is composed of five islands: Basse-Terre, Grande-Terre, Marie-Galante, Les Saintes, and La Desirade. The main islands, Basse-Terre and Grande-Terre, are separated by a narrow strait and are often mistaken for a single island. Despite its name, that literally means “low land”, Basse-Terre is actually home to the highest point in Guadeloupe, Soufrière volcano. The Grand Anse beach at Deshaies is the longest on the entire archipelago. With its golden sand and coconut palms, the contrast of colors makes this beach a breathtaking site. The botanical gardens at Deshaies are a tropical paradise with hundreds of plants and birds.
