Marine Store

Marine Store is located on the Dutch side of Simpson Bay lagoon, opposite to Snoopy island. This outstanding area is renowned for its marinas and related services, found here in greater concentration than in any other part of the island. There are also residential, commercial and leisure developments that make Simpson Bay lagoon an ideal vacation spot. Philipsburg, the capital of the island’s Dutch side, is just 7 km away from Marine Store. Located between two bodies of water, Great Bay and Great Salt Pond, Philipsburg’s strategic location caught the eye of the Dutch, who established their first Caribbean outpost here in 1631 (the now ruined Fort Amsterdam) and then built a settlement in 1763. The town is widely known for its beautiful colonial architecture and status as the island’s commercial center. It’s a lively and colorful town whose atmosphere combines the Caribbean hospitality with European sophistication, being a popular stop for cruise ships.
