Port de Saint-Gilles

Port de Saint-Gilles is a marina on the west coast of Réunion island, a French overseas department and outermost region in the southwest Indian Ocean. The lively town of Saint-Gilles attracts scuba divers with its nearby coral reefs and it’s ideally located close to the best beaches on the island such as Plage de Boucan Canot, Plage des Aigrettes, Plage des Roches Noires and Plage des Brisants. Saint-Denis, the capital of Réunion, is a short drive to the north, where you'll find island architecture as well as art galleries, beautiful gardens, and the island's best variety of restaurants. Réunion’s rugged interior is formed by the Salazies Mountain in the west, with the extinct volcano Piton des Neiges, highest point on the island; and the Grand Brule Mountain in the east, where visitors will find the island's still-active volcano Piton de la Fournaise. Réunion also has three calderas with scenic villages: Cirque de Salazie, Cirque de Cilaos and Cirque de Mafate, accessible only by air.
