Port de Sainte Rose

Le port de Ste Rose is a marina on the east coast of Réunion island, a French overseas department and outermost region in the southwest Indian Ocean. The marina is in Sainte-Rose commune, at the base of the mountain range that culminates at Piton de la Fournaise, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Many locals offer guided walking tours and rides to Piton de la Fournaise and the volcano is undoubtedly Reunion's most popular tourist attraction. A short drive to the south of Sainte-Rose is Anse des Cascades, a beautiful cove surrounded by lush mountains. The N2 road then follows the southern coastline giving you the opportunity to see Réunion’s amazing landscapes. From the town of Saint Joseph, you can easily reach Grand Galet Falls, also known as Langevin Falls after the name of their river. The falls are of varying heights and have a natural pool, where you can take a swim. The best beaches on the island are on the west coast, most notably Plage des Roches Noires and Plage de la Saline.
