West Indian Company Dock

West Indian Company Dock is located on the eastern edge of Long Bay, in Havensight, a neighborhood of Charlotte Amalie, capital of the US Virgin Islands. Havensight is full of shops and restaurants, with a large variety of brads available at Havensight Mall. Some of the top rated attractions on the island can be seen in Charlotte Amalie:the Blackbeard’s Castle, a five-story masonry watchtower said to have been the lookout post of the famous pirate Blackbeard; The Frenchtown, on the harbor’s western side, with its brightly painted frame houses and restaurants that overlook the water. Nearby beaches include Magens Bay; Honeymoon Beach and Lindbergh Bay. Directly across the West Indian Company Dock is Hassel Island Historic District, originally a peninsula that was separated from the mainland in 1860 in the hopes of creating better water circulation in the harbor. Visitors can follow the hiking trails to discover the archaeological ruins along the way, the rich vegetation and wildlife.
