Njivice Marina

Njivice Marina or Port of Njivice is located on the island of Krk, on the north-western coast of Croatia. It belongs to the town of Njivice and here the inhabitants lead a quiet lifestyle based on fishing activities. The harbour of Njicive has a medieval look and amazes tourists with its simple and natural atmosphere. Njivice is the newest built town on the island of Krk and here the port is bordered by beaches on both sides. In downtown, travellers will come across numerous restaurants, cafes and pastry shops. The beaches in Njivice are pebbly or partly paved. The Luka hotel (today known as the Jadran) and The Villa Dinka, were built in 1930 and are considered the start of tourism in Njivice. The active tourists are lured to practise water sports such as swimming, diving, sailing or to try cycling or trekking activities. In the immediate vicinity of Njivice, there is a lake that was once an area for fishing, but nowadays has been set up as a fresh water source.
