Tiessenkai

Tiessenkai is a marina located in the Holtenau district of Kiel, at the meeting point of Kiel Canal and Kiel Fjord in Schleswig Holstein Region. A great sailing port and perfect for experiencing activities like wind surfing or kite surfing, tourists docked here can also witness Kiel Canal’s massive locks that allow ships to navigate to and from the fjord. Located close to Kiel centre, visitors can travel by car or boat straight to Altstadt district where a vast array of attractions awaits its guests. As an important bay in the Region, the town hosts the Kiel Regatta, the largest sailing event in the world, hosted each year at the end of June.
