Veddelev Havn

Veddelev Havn known also as Veddelev Strands Badelaug is a marina in the city and municipality of Roskilde. It is situated 40 kilometres inside the Roskilde Fjord, far away from the North Sea. Travellers arrived here can enjoy the surroundings and visit one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, in the presence of Roskilde Church, built in the 12th or 13th centuries in a Romanesque style. The church is the burial site for the Danish monarchs. Other attractions suitable for visitors are Roskilde Palace, built 3 centuries ago, it was the place where the royal family was accommodated, and today the palace houses the Museum of Contemporary Art. Roskilde Covent, Roskilde Museum, Viking Ship Museum, with the main attraction being the remains of five 11th century Viking ships, complete a list of must see places for anyone that visits the city. Rock amateurs can also attend Roskilde Festival one of the biggest in Scandinavia, which attracts 80000 people every year with a great variety of artists.
