Faro District (Distrito de Faro in Portuguese) is located in the extreme South of Portugal, with Faro as its capital. The district has 15 cities, besides Faro: Albufeira, Alcoutim, Aljezur, Castro Marim, Lagoa, Lagos, Loule, Monchique, Olhao, Portimao, Sao Bras de Aportel, Silves, Tavira, Vila do Bispo and Vila Real de Santo Antonio.
